A drug is a concentrate of medical rationality and its multiple relational transactions. As such, a drug can be seen as a good tool for analyzing intercultural medical relationships. The fact that many people use a mixture of drugs and traditional remedies is ample proof of the coexistence of competitive rationales. And what if using the placebo effect to qualify or disqualify therapeutic, a regimen outside the realm of biomedical rationality, were just an easy way to mask the blind spot of pharmaceutical therapeutics.
