Well-being invades one′s personal intimacy like one′s social environment. It makes it possible to transform a philosophical concept into an affair of controlling body and soul. Used socially, well-being has become an expression of individual health via the realization of one′s personal identity or life project, a way of "inventing" one self, one′s lifestyle. It is also a social responsibility that must link together human ethics, morals and development within our contemporarysocial environment. Well-being is an affair of personal choice within our reflexive societies where it becomes plural, successive, and flexible.
