Bénévolat et handicap - un rapprochement fructueux, des pistes pour l'avenir

Voluntary work and disability are social phenomena which concern a great number of persons: 13 millions volunteer workers in France and four millions disabled persons. A better understanding of both notions would be useful for a better definition of the issues at stake: research is scarce. A first approach, initiated at the Nancy colloquium opens new perspectives for the specificity of voluntary work in the healthcare institution. The Maison du xxie siècle is an example but also more broadly, the real world where handicapped persons play their full role as active citizens.
