چکیده انگلیسی
Genetic screening for incurable diseases announces the finalities of predictive medicine. Approved socially by its rationality and its capacity to calculate the real, predictive medicine is a pure produce of the contemporary universe of technicity. But, when impersonal science touches the biological component of individual singularity, application of predictive medicine becomes more complex. When objective knowledge is used to measure personal singularities, with the risk of “retrospective damnation” or “delivery from evil”, information can be exposed which some may not be able to assimilate or accept, especially if such information is delivered without prior consent. A lethal disease in fact questions the reality of existence, imposing a life of nonsense. Today, with the possibilities offered by predictive medicine, do we have the right to anticipate the life of certain individuals who have not explicitly requested such information? The non-determinant nature of human life guarantees human action and hope. Undeniably, prognosticating the future annuls any projection into the future by imposing a pre-programmed life.
