Investir un corps altéré : témoignage d'une équipe en unité de soins palliatifs

This article discusses the theoretical and clinical issues involved in reactions to major changes in the body at the end of life. With the goal of ethical care, several healthcare professionals working in a palliative care team considered the supportive measures that can be proposed for patients whose body is massively degraded. Theoretically, the problematic can be approached via the concept of the body schema and narcissistic injury. From a practical point of view, the approach is illustrated by the presentation of the supportive measures proposed for two patients.
