After an organ transplantation, the recipient goes through a process of self-appropriation. The graft takes on a sensorial quality, subject of emotional, cultural, and symbolic comments. This article tries to analyze this process and explores the passage from the sensorial world of body products to another intelligible world. These new perspectives also allow to understand in a new the central ethical question of donors and donation.
