Role of Na+-H+ exchange in the modulation of L-type Ca2+ current during fluid pressure in rat ventricular myocytes

► Fluid pressure suppresses L-type Ca2+ current by increasing Ca2+ release and H+ concentration in rat ventricular myocytes. ► We examine a role of Na+-H+ exchange in the modulation of the Ca2+ current by fluid pressure. ► The Na+-H+ exchange attenuates the H+-mediated inhibition of the Ca2+ current under fluid pressure.
