Ubiquitination of the tomato cell death suppressor Adi3 by the RING E3 ubiquitin ligase AdBiL

► We find and describe the interaction of the tomato kinase Adi3 and the E3 ubiquitin ligase AdBiL. ► We describe the in vitro ubiquitination activity of AdBiL and its ability to transfer ubiquitin onto Adi3. ► We characterize the in vitro degradation of Adi3 in the presence of plant protein extracts. ► Different hypotheses are presented for the functional significance of Adi3 ubiquitination.
