Galloflavin prevents the binding of lactate dehydrogenase A to single stranded DNA and inhibits RNA synthesis in cultured cells

► Galloflavin, an inhibitor of LDH-A, hinders the binding of the enzyme to ssDNA. ► LDH-A inhibitors can impair RNA synthesis independently from the block of glycolysis. ► Galloflavin can be a tool to study the biological role of LDH-A binding to ssDNA.
