p53 Mutation suppresses adult neurogenesis in medaka fish (Oryzias latipes)

► Progenitor migration is accompanied by an increase in their numbers in the adult brain. ► p53 Mutation suppressed an increase in the number of the migrated progenitors. ► The decreased progenitor number is not due to enhanced cell death. ► p53 Mutation did not affect proliferation of stem cells.
