Annexin A4 is a possible biomarker for cisplatin susceptibility of malignant mesothelioma cells

► Annexin A4 was identified as a CDDP resistance biomarker candidate for malignant mesothelioma. ► Annexin A4 was identified by differential proteome analysis between H28 and H2052 cell lines. ► Expression of annexin A4 was correlated with CDDP susceptibility in five mesothelioma cells. ► Annexin A4 was expressed at high levels in human malignant mesothelioma tissues. ► Shift of CDDP susceptibility was observed by gene knockdown and overexpression of annexin A4.
