Identification of miR-508-3p and miR-509-3p that are associated with cell invasion and migration and involved in the apoptosis of renal cell carcinoma

► Previous method was the second-generation sequencing technology. ► miR-508-3p and miR-509-3p were significantly down-regulated in RCC tissues. ► They can inhibit cell proliferation and migration and promote cell apoptosis. ► The expression of miR-508-3p was significantly decreased in RCC patients plasma. ► miR-508-3p may be a novel diagnostic marker of RCC.
