Hydrogen sulphide inhibits cardiomyocyte hypertrophy by up-regulating miR-133a

► H2S is a direct inhibitor for cardiomyocyte hypertrophy. ► One mechanism may be partly through up-regulation of miR-133a. ► The other mechanism may be associated with inhibiting increase of intracellular ROS.
