Impairment of the Staufen1-NS1 interaction reduces influenza viral replication

► The linker between RBD3 and 4 on Staufen1 is involved in the interaction with NS1. ► RBD3L expression inhibits the interaction between Staufen1 and NS1. ► RBD3L expression reduces the colocalization of Staufen1 with NS1. ► RBD3L expression reduces influenza A viral replication. ► We suggest the interaction as a target for new antiviral agents.
