The crystal structure of a Thermus thermophilus tRNAGly acceptor stem microhelix at 1.6Â Ã resolution

► The tRNAGly/GlyRS system is a special case regarding protein structures and tRNA identity. ► This possibly reflects an evolutionary divergence of the system between different organisms. ► We show the crystal structure of a Thermus thermophilus tRNAGly acceptor stem at 1.6 Å resolution. ► The RNA structure and the surrounding hydration pattern are described. ► This study complements the structures of tRNAGly acceptor stem microhelices from E.coli and human.
