Annexin A7 and SNAP23 interactions in alveolar type II cells and in vitro: A role for Ca2+ and PKC

► Interactions of annexin A7 with SNARE protein SNAP23 are demonstrated. ► Surfactant secretagogues increase annexin A7 and SNAP23 interactions in lung cells. ► The intracellular co-localization and in vitro binding is PKC dependent. ► The trafficking of lamellar body to SNAP23 domains is regulated by PKC.
