Biphasic regulation of the NADPH oxidase by HGF/c-Met signaling pathway in primary mouse hepatocytes

► HGF regulates NADPH oxidase by a biphasic mechanism. ► The first mechanism (early response) increases NADPH oxidase-derived ROS. ► ROS are required for Nrf2 activation. ► The second one (late response) downregulates NADPH oxidase components. ► Both mechanisms are related to cell survival.
