A new fluorometric assay for the study of DNA-binding and 3′-processing activities of retroviral integrases and its use for screening of HIV-1 integrase inhibitors

► Novel fluorometric assay for analysis of retroviral integrase activity is developed. ► DNA binding and 3′-processing activities can be studied in real time. ► The method can be used for high-throughput screening of 3′-processing inhibitors. ► New inhibitors of HIV-1 integrase are found using this assay.
