Suppression of tumorigenicity of rhabdoid tumor derived G401 cells by the multivalent HB-19 pseudopeptide that targets surface nucleolin

► The cell-surface expressed nucleolin is a strategic target for cancer therapy. ► Nucleolin antagonist HB-19 pseudopeptide suppresses tumorigenesis and angiogenesis in mice. ► Here we show that HB-19 inhibits tumorigenicity of the highly malignant rhabdoid tumor G401 cells. ► Inhibitory effect of HB-19 is associated with selective down regulation of tumor-associated genes. ► Our results suggest that HB-19 is a potential candidate for targeted therapy of rhabdoid tumors.
