In vivo visualization of the origination of skin graft vasculature in a wild-type/GFP crossover model

► We studied the revascularization of skin grafts in an in vivo mouse model. ► We performed crossover transplantation of skin grafts between wild-type and GFP mice. ► Vessels from the wound bed invade the pre-existing vascular channels of the graft. ► Vessel replacement is almost complete by day 10 in the periphery of the graft.
