Neurobehavioral and transcriptional effects of acrylamide in juvenile rats

► Acrylamide induced significant characteristic neurotoxic symptoms in juvenile rats. ► Acrylamide caused a significant alteration in expression of a few genes. ► Acrylamide downregulated Mylpf gene expression in the spinal cord. ► In sciatic nerves, acrylamide repressed the expression of the Oprk1 gene. ► In the cerebellum, acrylamide caused a decrease in Nr4a2 gene expression.
