Subcellular localisation and silencing of ripening-associated membrane protein (TRAMP) in tomato Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.

Expression of the unfused GFP control construct led to fluorescence throughout the cytosol in transgenic plants. GFP-fused TRAMP, on the other hand, was detected predominantly in the plasma membrane when stably expressed in transgenic tomato fruit and stem cells and in onion cells following microprojectile bombardment.
