Overproduction of recombinant human mannose-binding lectin (MBL) in Chinese hamster ovary cells

► Efficient expression of recombinant human mannose-binding protein (rhMBL) in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells. ► Established a pilot scale manufacturing process of rhMBL suitable for the production of rhMBL for medical uses. ► The structure and biological activities of purified rhMBL were very similar to those of native MBL.
