Estimación de la incidencia de la hepatitis B en Cataluña mediante modelos aditivos generalizados y su relación con las tasas de inmigración y vacunación

GAM models showed that the reduction in hepatitis B incidence due to vaccination programmes was non-linear and the increases in the incidence occurred in a specific population group: male immigrants. The descriptive analysis by geographical area show the importance of including this factor in future studies. GAM models permit the evaluation of future vaccination planning.
