Control of the skin edge tension after resection: a new adjustable, adhesive medical device. Mechanotherapy of postoperative scarring is considered the most effective treatment for preventing hypertrophic and keloid pathological scars. Several options have been proposed and are used in current practice. The technology to complete the suture and maintain the skin edges in contact for several weeks is described in this article. The originality of the system is its ability to bring the two edges together and set the skin tension. This technique gives spectacular results at the cost of a few weeks of wearing a weak allergenic adhesive based on hydrocolloids.
