Plaies iatrogènes des membres supérieurs chez la personne âgée hospitalisée en service de court séjour

Iatrogenic upper limb skin tears in the elderly hospitalized in acute care unit. Medical and surgical units must adapt to a growing acceptance of elderly patients. This population is fragile and likely to quickly develop skin lesions (bruising, dermabrasion), hence, the need to objectify the risk, in order to develop strategies of care to minimize it. The study presented in this article emphasizes the importance of improving preventive and curative care in order to minimize the occurrence of these lesions and to limit their impact (functional, aesthetic), in particular by introducing new devices gel protection, suitable skin hydration and the use of silicone adhesives.
