RésuméLa prévision des besoins transfusionnels à venir se fonde sur l’épidémiologie et les avancées thérapeutiques en hématologie. Le taux d’incidence des hémopathies lymphoïdes B, notamment des lymphomes non hodgkiniens et des myélodysplasies, augmente. Les tumeurs solides étant plus souvent traitées par chimiothérapie, cela induit plus de myélodysplasies. Dans les myélodysplasies, les progrès thérapeutiques et notamment les chélateurs du fer par voie orale, la remontée du seuil transfusionnel, vont augmenter la demande de CGR. Une augmentation devrait aussi se voir dans la drépanocytose.
