The unique properties such as diverse structure topology, tunable pore size, permanent nanoscale porosity, high surface area, and good thermostability make metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) promising as advanced materials in hydrogen storage, catalysis, adsorption and separation. Recently, MOFs have shown great potential for sample pretreatment. This review summarized the recent advances in the application of MOFs for sample pretreatment, such as sample collection, solid-phase extraction, and solid-phase microextraction. The prospects of MOFs for sample pretreatment are also presented.
This figure shows the fourteen rare earth elements (REE) distribution patterns (standardized by Chondrite) of potash glass samples unearthed in China. The REE patterns shows difference between glasses from two places (Fengmenling and Jiuzhiling), and can provide a wealth of information that many other elements cannot provide.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slide
