Novel synthesis of silver nanoparticles using 2,3,5,6-tetrakis-(morpholinomethyl) hydroquinone as reducing agent

► TMMH capped Ag nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical reduction methods. ► Size of nanoparticles was controlled by varying the ratio of TMMH to metal salts. ► Hydroxyl groups in TMMH have affinity to bind Ag ion electrostatically.
