Cobalt(II) compounds with acetone isonicotinoyl hydrazone tautomers: Syntheses and crystal structures of complexes with free donor atoms

Two new cobalt(II) complexes with acetone isonicotinoyl hydrazone, are synthesized and characterized. The cationic and neutral complexes contain keto and enolate forms of the hydrazone. Structurally diverse complexes feature free donor atoms that make them potential metalloligands.
