Synthesis, characterization of a new open-framework gallium phosphite containing 5,6-fold coordinate gallium atoms

The 3D open-framework of compound 1 with 1D 8-membered ring channels along the a-axis which is constructed from two novel secondary building units (SBU), three-membered ring Ga2O7(OH)(HPO3) and tooth-wheel type unit Ga(HPO3)6.
