Oxygen optical sensing by doping a rhenium complex into a silica matrix: Design, characterization and performance

A diamine ligand and its Re(I) complex were synthesized for oxygen sensing. Ligand conjugation chain was increased to guarantee collision probability. Using a silica matrix of MCM-41, an optimal sample gave the highest sensitivity of 5.65 with short response time of 8 s.
