چکیده انگلیسی

• Copper adipate coordination polymers with dipyridylamide coligands.
• Topologies depends on specific geometric dipyridylamide isomer.
• 1-D chain, 2-D layer, and 3-D network topologies.
• Unique 4,6-connected self-penetrated topology with 4-pna.
• Antiferromagnetic or ferromagnetic dimeric clusters.

Hydrothermal reactions of a divalent copper salt, adipic acid (H2adp), and a dipyridylamide coligand have afforded four new crystalline coordination polymer solids, whose topologies depend critically on the specific dipyridylamide geometric isomer. [Cu(adp)(3-pina)]n (1, 3-pina = 3-pyridylisonicotinamide) has a standard (4,4) grid layer topology, while {[Cu(adp)(3-pna)]·2.5H2O}n (2, 3-pna = 3-pyridylnicotinamide) possesses a dimer-based 3-D network with 658 cds topology. Use of 4-pyridylnicotinamide (4-pna) as coligand afforded {[Cu3(adp)3(4-pna)2]·2H2O}n (3), which manifests a unique binodal 4,6-connected self-penetrated (658)(44611) 3-D topology. {[Cu(adp)(4-pna)2]n (4) is a simple 1-D chain polymer, obtained as a minor product during the synthesis of 3. Thermal properties of these materials are also discussed, along with the variable temperature magnetic properties of 2 and 3.

Copper adipate coordination polymers have topologies that depend critically on the specific dipyridylamide (pna) geometric isomer used. {[Cu(adp)(3-pna)]·2.5H2O}n (2) has a 658 cds topology. {[Cu3(adp)3(4-pna)2]·2H2O}n (3) manifests a unique binodal 4,6-connected self-penetrated (658)(44611) 3-D topology.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slide
