Hydrothermal synthesis and structure characterization of the first organically templated metal iodates

The first organically templated molybdenum iodates (C5H6N)2Mo2O5(IO3)4(H2O)2 (1), (C10H8N2)[MoO2(IO3)3] · H3O (2), and uranium iodate (C5H5N)2[(UO2)(IO3)3](IO3) (3), have been successfully synthesized under mild hydrothermal conditions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, ICP and elemental analysis.
