Synthesis and characterization of 2-quinoxalinol Schiff-base metal complexes

A series of metal complexes with 2-quinoxalinol salen ligands are described. Metal complexes of the new Schiff base ligands with Uranyl (UO22+) are reported and characterized by X-ray diffraction. These are compared with complexes of first row transition metals.
