Synthesis of [SnPh2(SRF)2] SRF = −SC6F4-4-H, −SC6F5: Reactivity towards group 10 transition metal complexes

The organometallic tin(IV) complexes [SnPh2(SRF)2] SRF = −SC6F5, −SC6F4-4-H were synthesized and their reactivity with [MCl2(PPh3)2] M = Ni, Pd and Pt explored. Thus, transmetallation products were obtained affording polymeric (Ni), dimeric (Pd) and monomeric species (Pt), respectively.
