Synthesis, spectral and electrochemical study of perchlorinated tetrapyrazinoporphyrazine and its AlIII, GaIII and InIII complexes

Novel perchlorinated tetrapyrazinoporphyrazine and its metal complexes with Al(III), Ga(III) and In(III) were prepared by cycltetramerization of 5,6-dichloro-2,3-dicyanopyrazine in non-nucleophilic conditions and characterized. The electrochemical study has demonstrated that perchlorination of the tetrapyrazinporphyrazine macrocycle substantially facilitates its reduction.86
