Rhodium or ruthenium units peripherally coordinated to carbosilane dendrimers functionalized with P-stereogenic monophosphines

RuCl2(p-cymene) and RhCl(COD) units have been grafted on the periphery of P-stereogenic phosphine-containing carbosilane dendrimers. The catalytic properties of the corresponding metallodendrimers have been examined in the asymmetric hydrogen transfer reaction of acetophenone and the hydrogenation of dimethylitaconate, respectively.
