A three-dimensional (3D) cobalt phosphate: Co5(OH2)4(HPO4)2(PO4)2 (1), has been synthesized by hydrothermal reaction and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and magnetic techniques. The title compound is a template free cobalt phosphate. Compound 1 exhibits a complex net architecture based on edge- and corner-sharing of CoO6 and PO4 polyhedra. The magnetic susceptibility measurements indicated that the title compound obeys Curie–Weiss behavior down to a temperature of 17 K at which an antiferromagnetic phase transition occurs.
A 3D cobalt phosphate with a neutral framework: Co5(OH2)4(HPO4)2(PO4)2 (1), has been synthesized and characterized. Compound 1 exhibits a complex net architecture based on edge- and corner-sharing of CoO6 and PO4 polyhedra. Its magnetic property was researched.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slide
