Two new luminescent Zn(II) coordination polymers with different interpenetrated motifs

Presented here are two new Zn(II) coordination polymers, namely [Zn2(tdc)2(bib)2]n·2n(H2O) (1) and [Zn(tdc)(bib)0.5(H2O)]n (2) (H2tdc = 2,5-thiophenedicarboxylic acid, bib = 1, 4-bis(imidazolyl)butane). Compound 1 exhibits a 4-fold interpenetrated dia topological network, and compound 2 features a 8-fold interpenetrated ths topological network.
