The effects of gold coated and uncoated zinc oxide nanohexagons on the photophysicochemical properties of the low symmetry zinc phthalocyanine

A Zn phthalocyanine monosubstituted with diethylaminoethanethiol was conjugated to zinc oxide nanohexagons resulting in improved photodynamic antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus).
