Physical, structural and spectroscopic investigations of Sm3+ doped ZnO mixed alkali borate glass

In order to confirm the colour luminescent emission performance of the material, the Commission International del'Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity coordinates (x, y) were evaluated for the prepared glass as (0.572, 0.399). These values designate that luminescent emission was at the orange red region. The quality of light was ascertained by the colour correlated temperature (CCT). The CCT estimated using colour coordinates in McCamy empirical formula.
