Study of a structure of boron-oxygen complexes in the molten and vapor states by Raman and luminescence spectroscopies

► Overheating metaborates melts resulted in new Z boron-oxygen fragments formation. ► These Z-complexes have presumably the [BO2]1− triatomic “V”-construction. ► The vapors over overheated metaborates and B2O3 melts contained the BO2-radicals. ► The BO2-radicals structure in vapors and produced by a flash photolysis is differed.
