Matrix isolation studies of 185Â nm light-induced cage reactions of o-chlorobenzaldehyde

► VUV light photolysis of o-chlorobenzaldehyde was investigated in cryogenic matrices. ► Photoinduced rotational isomerization from anti- to syn-CBA was observed. ► In addition, photorearrangement to benzoyl chloride was observed in the Ar matrix.
