A luminescent dinuclear cadmium(II) supramolecular architecture constructed from a metal-organic synthon

► A dinuclear CdII complex was synthesized by using a metal-organic synthon. ► Structural analysis revealed an oligomeric complex with two distinct chromophores. ► Intermolecular hydrogen bonds contribute to the formation of a 2D network. ► The complex shows interesting photoluminescence property in the solid state.
