Synthesis, structure and properties of a fumarate bridged Ni(II) coordination polymer

► A linear fumarate bridged Ni(II) coordination polymer synthesized. ► Noncovalent interactions assemble the chains into a 3-D metallosupramolecular assembly. ► The compound is weakly antiferromagnetic at low temperatures.
