Integrated approach to establish the sinter-crystallization ability of glasses from secondary raw material

► SRM fine fraction is not suitable for obtaining sinter-crystallized glass-ceramic. ► SRM coarse fraction is suitable for obtaining sinter-crystallized glass-ceramic. ► Theoretical studies are in agreement with experimental results. ► The crystallization depends on both atmosphere and the heating rate. ► Lower firing temperature and time were achieved with respect to commercial products.
