Effect of chloride substitution on the order-disorder transition in NaBH4 and Na11BD4

Interactions that order the BD4- tetrahedra below the order-disorder transition became increasingly frustrated by the solute in the Na(11BD4)1−xClx solid solutions, and the order disappears at x = 0.158.
