► Yield strength of recycled specimens is higher than that of reference specimens. ► Corrosion rate of 450 °C recycled specimen is slightly higher than references. ► The corrosion mode of 450 °C recycled specimen is uniform, without pitting. ► Fine grains and moderate residual cavities hinders pitting from occurring.
