Facile synthesis of Cu2ZnSnS4 nanocrystals and its use for dye-sensitized solar cells applications

► Cu2ZnSnS4 nanocrystals were synthesized with a facile solution method. ► The physical and optical properties of Cu2ZnSnS4 nanocrystals were characterized. ► DSSCs were fabricated with Cu2ZnSnS4 nanocrystals as the absorption layer.
